Went to a funeral, yesterday. Rick Willson, my neighbor of the last few years, passed unexpectedly from cardiac arrest while running, one of his many beloved activities.
The person’s life who we were celebrating I only had begun to get to know. He was productive but inspiringly capable person, devoting himself to arts as well as family. Wrote songs for his own funeral which was stirring. Had recently published two books on urban planning.
His life speaks to me. And from death, he speaks to me. Live! Engage! Dare!
I’m finally enthusiastic to be in touch with people again. I will continue shouting into the void. As the art we art.
Things are clearer for me than they’ve been in a while.
I had to simplify. To tame the complexity, we need simple strategies. Strategies that align to the times.
I’m engaging the world again, from a stronger place than ever. I’m focusing on what I and only I can give, and I’m paying attention to the impacts I’m making and not making.
Now, I’m hungry to share and learn in the presence of others, bringing this view.
Still going for sustainability and resilience for more people, integrating new and old for wow, now!
Let’s live.
What’s going on out there?
What have you seen lately that you wish others to see?
And yes also getting things going on other channels. It’s a new season.
